Food Services Assistant
Assists in the preparation and service of food within School District of Philadelphia facilities. Cleans food preparation and/or service areas. Work may involve cooking the main entrees and/or other items in a full-service cafeteria by following standardized recipes, serving and/or cashiering in a lunchroom or maintaining an accurate count of items produced and sold. Operates a compliant Point of Service (POS) and POS computer system/terminal.

Food Services Worker II (Cook)
Assists in the preparation and service of food within School District of Philadelphia facilities. Cleans food preparation and/or service areas. Work may involve cooking the main entrees and/or other items in a full-service cafeteria by following standardized recipes, serving and/or cashiering in a lunchroom or maintaining an accurate count of items produced and sold. Operates a compliant Point of Service (POS) and POS computer system/terminal.

Food Services Worker III (Manager)
Supervises a crew of food services workers in a self-contained unit, maintaining records and preparing periodic reports. Prepares breakfast and/or lunch meals following prescribed menus and standardized recipes. Orders supplies and food and receives and checks deliveries for accuracy. Takes temperatures of cold and frozen food items and records on HASSP log. Responsible for daily cash receipts, including the sorting and counting of bills and coins and the preparation of bank deposit slips.

Lead Food Services Worker
Under the direction of a Food Services District Supervisor, the Lead Food Service Worker performs work in the satellite food service operation in the School District. The Lead Food Service Worker orders, receives, stores, reconstitutes and distributes pre-packaged, prepared lunches at a school location, and may supervise a small crew of Food Service Aides engaged in the unpacking, heating and serving of these meals. The Lead Food Service Worker is also responsible for sanitary conditions and may clean equipment, kitchen and serving areas.
Important to this work are, several record keeping functions related to School District policy and procedures and the regulations of the National School Lunch Program. These include reviewing student applications for meal categories; accounting for lunch tickets purchased and used; accounting of the number of meals served and the monies collected, and preparing a weekly operations report. The employee performs related duties as required.
